OK, now I'm confused!! the walkthrough says that you are supposed to touched the color walls at the altar//which altar I know where to go after this is supposed to be done but is this at the ancient library or somewhere else???? HELP!!!

The Lost Orb is one of the library quests.

Once you find the ancient library, you'll find that you can go inside the books. Walk up to the sparkly shelves in the library, and press the space bar to go inside a book. Each book has one quest associated with it.

The altar you describe is inside the book called "The Lost Orb".

Thanks for your help, in the mean time I found out, when I saw Orb I really didn't believed had something to do with a book (I was thinking INDY IS TREAKING US AGAIN!!,) so he got me.Anyway I found it!!
