I was wondering if anyone had any info on the effects of the promotions for the new characters (like, for Merline there are Boom Girl and Big Girl, but I've no idea what the difference between them is...)? I know there's a thread that details the promotions for all of the characters in the first two games, but I've had no luck finding info about the new characters' promotions. Just simple info like what stat each promotion has the most effect on would be great. Thanks in advance!

a trick is to unequip the character and then see how each of the promotions modify the stats - then pick your favorite.
you may also want to do one fight with the promoted character as sometimes (but seldom) it also influences battle skills.

Big Girl increases her hp by about 100.
Boom Boom Girl increases her speed a lot.

I personnally think Boom Boom Girl is the best for her because speed and evasion are her main strengths.

Does anyone know if it is possible to promote Jack to Scimitar Lord (using Eye of the Frog) and still be able to finish the quest of giving item to the cult member (quest 11, given by Markus the Cult Leader)?

I used that item - the Eye of the Frog - to promote Jack to Scimitar Lord - he gained around 30% in attack, strength and Speed, so it was not a bad promotion at all...
But using it meant that it disappeared from my inventory. So I was unable to give it to that guy, the cult member, in Guild of Strength.
anyone had any luck?

Not me, as far as I know, it's impossible to have Jack as Scimitar Lord and complete the quest.

You have to do one and lose the other.

I did the quest and promoted Jack with other promotion, I'm hoping that an Eye of the Fog appears on Millennium 4. Like that I'll be with MM3 promotion and the Scimitar Lord.

I'm not sure if that's going to work, but as the promotions from Millennium 2 were still on Millennium 3... maybe it's a good idea.

I didn't think I could have it both ways, but it never hurts to ask, lol.

I'll hold off promoting Jack for the time being, but it looks like Acrobat would be the best choice judging by the number of stat increases - both HP, Attack, Pdef, Strength, Resistance and speed is increased, vs Warrior that increases HP, Attack, Strength and Res.(i.e 2 less)
