I'll give you a generous tip. Use lightning speed on your party and you'll rake in the money/experience.
Haste works very effectively too.

Holy crap, I just discovered something awesome!!
Use Wizard's Revenge ( Resurgence) on Alexander ( its one of his skills ) before the battle and then use the dark slashing skill and he will attack first and wipe them out as his magic power is effectively doubled!

Equip Xander with the Conch of Dreams (got from Alexandra's dream in LF2).
MP x 0.23 !! Put a couple of MP regenerating items on Xander, and his MP "charge" lasts a looong time.

One of the very best items (to my opinion) in the whole game are the Inverness Bracers (reward for Askhbar at the ArenA). If you equip them on Xander he does his spells for free because he gains 11% MP each round. Even with no other MP reducing item his 1001 Dark Slashes spell costs nothing.
With this spell my Xander (lv 83) could easily wipe out the Crystal Zapoos. I equipped him with the Legendra Helmet to be pre-emptive and gave him Baretta's Key and Benevolence Mail to boost his MD a little. And then - Zapoo massacre!!!!!
