The walkthrough advises that, while Titanic is after you, you should stop and let Cocka-Cocka eat yellow flowers. But he won't. What's up? I keep going up to the flowers and nothing happens. (They're in that series of steps.) Advice appreciated.

Oh dear, hope I've not made a mistake in my notes about this section. If C-C won't eat them, then I've made an error in where they are. I've been looking for my rough notes and can't find them.
I suggest that you move on through the rest of the steps; I know that there are more flowers but to find them you would have to be prepared to have Titanic on your tail and use the directions from the route given for Sarah's party.
I do apologise if I've sent you off on a wild goose chase.

The error has been corrected, and you can get the flowers now.
