What Accessories are you equipping party members with? That makes a heck of a lot of difference. got the evasive one for Zip, strength for Theo, defense for Mary and magic/spell? for Stilleta. Check out the shops or that roving merchant LOL. Oh...finally realized what those orbs were for LOL...replenishing some HP & MP so that if you don't have as many stock items, this helps a whole bunch. Sneaky ArendJan...but MUCH APPRECIATED! +::kiss

btw...the desert sure seemed familiar like Whisper of the Rose LOL

I felt the same way with protect and shell spells. Seems if I forgot to use them, the enemy would be taking the same amount of points as if I had cast protect and/or shell.

Hm, the game is actually not that difficult if you keep your level at an appropriate height, equip proper accessories, etc. Also it really helps to figure out the enemy's weakness first. Using an elemental skill (like Theodore's sword attacks, or Stiletta's magic) to which an enemy is weak almost doubles the damage.

Money is really easy to get, too, so it should be no problem to get items.

As for Protect/Shell I'll look into changing it from 15% to 20% protection.

Nope, the game is way too hard. I avoided a few enemies, not a high quantity of them, yet they were too powerful. On Wind Cave (the cave after the Earth one if I remember, don't know if I got the element right) I killed every enemy and they were beating the crap out of me, I had to spend lots and lots of healing items after each battle, and having to go back to Opaka lots of times to rest.

Several questions: The guide keeps refering to Stiletta, after she is gone. See fighting Stone Golem. Am I missing something? Also, where is Opaka in the Depths of Ezekiel? I am almost to the "continue" and need potions. Must I go back to a previous portal? For those that think the game is too hard, start each battle with Theadors "blind", this will reduce a lot of damage.

I tried using Blind sometimes, and it is good. But the enemies always acts first and blind doesn't always work.

I was using amnesia to silence those buggers. Now I have to use blind for those pesky demons and 'shrooms before I can silence them +::biggrin

Just love it when they drop items. The crafting is neat and man...those items seem to work, but not sure if only for that fight or the one coming up if I'm healing up after the fight +:::|

Edit: Found my answer...potions made work for that round or the next one, depending on when you use them. Just finished and +::YAY

Love the fight against Kujae +::lol

Had a doosey of a time trying to figure out how to get the Emperor, but got it and then some +::Dance

May have taken a while, but those crafted potions sure came In handy. Great game ArendJan! +::clap

I too am having trouble finding Stiletta = do I have to go back to the Emperor's castle to get her -I am now at the stone golem

iirc think she pops up unexpectedly then disappears again. Hope you save before you start that area just to be on the safe side. It's only when you need to help some souls along that you go to the castle to let Stiletta know something.

I was going to do this game for the RPG Spotlight, but I encountered problems which mess with my recording set up.
1. Can't disable mouse.
2. F11 changes screen size. F11 is my hot key for recording
3. Alt + Enter should be used for resizing...
4. Alt + F4 should work for closing.

I can not figure out how to kill the emperor. I am level 52 and nothing seems to work. Could someone please give me a hint.

I've done the game in 24 hours. The very start at Theodore's village, some dialogs were nice, it's a shame the other ares don't have that.

To learn the reality of who we are, at some point in the game is cool. +::Thumbup
