What a marvelous write up! Congrats to LF3

I always thought it was the best of the trilogy especially plot-wise.

Each one is the best in it's own right. This one is just that much more because it's the culmination of the trilogy Thanks for the game even if I dread being forced into last chapter Luci said no to going back to try and finish a quest I missed

Honestly, the review doesn't make the game justice. I agree with one thing, though - LF3 is for "dedicated fans", others will probably prefer Millennium just like the author of the review.

Well, one could say a lot about this. Over the time I've noticed that Millennium is not more popular than LF, both are quite even. It's not like MM is "undeniably more popular", regardless of it being undeniably prettier lol
Neal (the reviewer) however always weights and balances everything in his game reviews and this is probably where LF loses ground to, say, Millennium. A 85% tells a lot about the game's content and story when graphics and musics, in his opinion, stumble to scores in the 70s. I also assume he is more sensitive to efforts made in the graphics and music (seems anyway like any and all reviewers are more sensitive to that than length or depth).
LF is not eye-candy, more brain-candy, and that's kinda what the review says. It's true it could have been longer, but I can't really blame the guy for that, he is quite fair and in-depth as a reviewer, plus he does play fully the games he has to review.

Neal writes good reviews, I admit it. Usually when I play a game and then read his review, I can tell that he sums it pretty well. But LF3 is a pretty unique experience imo, something that the other games cannot quite match, and the review doesn't really reflects that - that's what I meant with "the review doesn't make the game justice".

That's fairly surprising to me, I've always thought that Millennium is more accessible and thus more popular than Laxius Force.

To be fair, LF3, I think, is much much bigger than any other RM game and is the conclusion to quite a massive trilogy. This is what the review does not reflect.
Other than that, he explains quite well how the game is and it's not like all reviewers are as good/legit as Neal is anyway. RPG Fan has put emphasis on advancements made in graphics and musics, so it's not like LF3 was going to wow them there.

As for MM vs LF, well MM is prettier and more accessible, but LF is far *bigger* and with more characters. I've never seen a reviewer caring for that, but I'm pretty sure players do care.

It's great that he's played the whole series. Since I don't normally have the sound on, I can't talk to that, but I felt that the graphics were just fine!! In order for the series to have cohesion, they would have to follow the path of the other parts of the story.

Now, if I could just find time to keep playing it and finish it!!

and the culmination is being stuck in Astral-Litz! It's a great BIG MAZE waiting for a lot of exploration! And it's sure been handy this week! Getting a lot of agression out with the game and the strategy to get through it makes for a sharper mind in rl Now back to the game!
