I have got all the ingredients needed to make the cure for Bear, and have returned from the ancient temple and am stuck on the beach with blondie, benoit and karine, all I get after talking to abu is to wait for marine, how can I make her show up, so I can progress further into the game, or am I missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

If I remember correctly you need to go to the west beach and inspect the hole where Merline disappeared and then go back to the middle beach. I think Marine returns when you get back.
