I just bought the game. I start from my import save.

Whatever mode I would choose my gold passed from 30 000 to 5 000. Stats correspond to the mode chosen, I've well my items.
Sad to have much less gold, is it so anyway?

I hesitate between normal and hard mode.. I wonder if hard is really hard for me or not.
I've never played story mode, in what is it different from the other modes please?

story is very easy

hard can be quite tough yup. probably normal or easy is best.

flavie: It's intended, I believe. You start with fixed levels and gold, no matter how much more you attained in the previous game.
As for the modes, Hard is really hard this time - so be cautious when choosing.

Yes, money is of course totally intended.

And I agree with Tomas, Hard is really for expert players.

Ok I'll play normal, I've plenty of urchins to sell later on:)
I remember from Millennium 3 to 4 I'd got more diamond __ to sell to get more money and. that was useless (??)

I have experienced a bug/glitch on map 14 of Marine's party. I just got the first flower and when I jump to the next cloud/aerial platform the game locks me on it. I cannot go up, down, left or right. My characters move freely on the platform but I can't go from there. I saved on the platform right before and every time I try to go on it locks down. Any suggestions?

I'm assuming the map 14 you mention is in Kumai Kuma Kuma! If so, the most direct path is not the right one! You can't just jump right to the top of that pillar, you need to jump down and then only you go right and upwards! You'll need the Air Sandals at some point too! User avatar

It states of I have 3 of 18 fulfilled but I have done 10 of 18.

Yes, this is a glitch from the early version of the game, it should be fixed by now.
FYI, it was only counting the quests completed by Marine. Now it counts the quests completed by YOU, the player.
