I got to the ending with a score of 85 wins when they stop fighting during the last round. It then goes on to a movie where it says that the towns people of Mystrock had turned against Merline and her crew and that this caused a war for years afterwards between Mystrock and the Mysties. Is there a different ending with a better outcome? And, how do I get such a better outcome?

ah yes, i never addressed that... well i didnt rush the ending... after the time it took to make the whole game, adding some text about everyone would have been a walk in the p-- sorry, a walk by the beach.

but i wanted everyone to use their imagination, leave it open-ended.
i already did an ending covering everyone's lives in TBOL... this time i wanted something different, and thought MM5 hinted quite well at what could happen...

Yeah I guess you're right. Some closure would be nice, but then it could be something we didn't like. Imagination is great. I imagine Karine went back to the swamps and Benoit kept visiting her then he confessed they got married, had children and turned Bogobaka from a ghost town to a normal town!

with the money and manpower from mystrock, a lot can surely be achieved.

but yea, use your imagination!!

And MAYBE it gives your own imagination the chance to develop the story of one or another character a little more and MAYBE we'll meet them again .......

It would be nice to have another game in the world of Myst. Yeah Indy, all of your games are in different worlds. But are they in the same universe??? Please say that if we go space travelling in LS or Legend, we will be able to visit these worlds!!! That's the power of imagination!
