When prompted to pick a perk for Harry at some point ... I chose one that says Harry gets substitute skill ... but I don't see the skill ... it is not in the list .... bug or intentional ?

I believe it works as a "state" that is invisible. The skill indeed is not "added" in the inventory of skills.

I see .... sooooo what it does exactly ? I can't tell ... I made 2 saves and I went with other perk on another save cause I can't figure the benefit of this one.

If someone is going to take a lethal blow, he takes it instead of said someone.

Yeah I thought they were fun.
Since you like hi-jacking the game I think lots can be done with Harry.
Without trying very hard, I'd turned him into a powerhouse for many fights.
