Personally I improved Zephyr Blade as it gets some nice properties later on.

I never paid a lot of attention to that one - or I should say, I didn't have the time.
I'm having him use Slicer a lot to decrease DEF. And I gave him Hammerhold, which is pretty good too.

Hammerhold is great especially to smash those forest wasps.
Slicer is good too, I use it a lot.
