@ladyJJ if that's the case - then yeah I didn't do that - I am going to have to reload an older save ... I went directly to the guy first after I completed the slimes - it made more sense to me.

As @LadyJJ said, you need to defeat the slimes (Q6) before the same guy in the port office will be willing to give you Q7. Just make sure you don't need to use the inn after you have bought boat tickets and then ask the guy about Q7 ironing job.

My question was, "What happens after you complete Q7, if you don't buy your tickets first?" Just a curiosity.

Also, some of the quests that follow are puzzling me. I'm not sure I would figure some of them out when playing a second time. For example, I just blew up the volcano and I'm not sure if I can ever get back into the ruins with another blue orb.

I'm sure there are others looking to find everything and finish every quest. I am moving forward with the story as Indi advised since there are at least 2 quests I will never resolve.

You need to talk to someone too in the Ogre Tower, but before finding Genevieve.

You don't get Q7 if you don't have your ticket, at least that's how it was working for me. If you don't buy your ticket, then you get your thanks and reward for killing the slimes and she says that's all she has for quests. Go and buy your ticket and return, and she still says that's all she has for quests. Now, I could be wrong, but, as I said, I replayed 2 times trying to figure it out and a 3rd time just to confirm, and that's what I came up with. That's why I said it was very, very time sensitive.

So the volcano erupted and my party is down from 4 to 3. I can trigger Quest 16, but Quest 15 never showed. I do have a blue orb, but no clue where to use it. I had a party of 2 when I found the orb, so v-e-r-y l-o-n-g ago.

There is a shrine behind a doorway rather early in the ruins that you need Genevieve to see after you find the damaged blue orb. Even though I did trigger the quest because I found the blue orb somewhere in the ruins and later had Genevieve in the party, I am not sure how/when I will be able to return to the ruins now that I have blown up the volcano. Genevieve says you need to find a second orb and return. I couldn't find one in the ruins or volcano.

I'm keeping lots of PDF notes for future play. The puzzles/quests after the Waikiki (funny, Indi, that's where I grew up) warehouse area are even harder. I have missed several and just assume I will never finish all the quests until some of us fully document what needs to be done to complete them.

Thank you Kimo. I've been playing from a saved game just before the entrance to the cutscene, backtracking and checking everything carefully. I'm also using this time to increase mastery of spells and skills, so it's not a total waste of time. I also have a couple of recipe books, so I want to go back to town to get some basic ingredients for Genevieve. I'll report back what I find when I've reached that shrine. I haven't kept notes except for the game notebook, but I think I'll start now. Will be good to compare notes as we go along.

Yep, a beautiful place. But the cost of housing is a nightmare. I lived there for 35 years on every island EXCEPT Maui (overrated like Merlot wine from California) and was the last of my family to leave. I learned to surf in Waikiki with an instructor (beach boy type) when I was 12 and you do drink a lot of salt water when learning.

But, I am here for Q20/21. I figured out the Pillar challenge by paying attention to the challenge names. Yes, you are giving hints, but it would be even better if you could include general hints (area to search again) of where to find things like the tools I now need. I was hoping that by fixing the roof (Q11), I would aquire tools and maybe even take Pristine to Erin for repair.

BTW, I was reluctantly given some wine for fixing the roof, but I cannot find it in inventory. Is this a possible glitch? I expect it to say "wine" as part of the item name. Did it get renamed somehow when it goes into inventory.

Also, I introduced the 2 people for Q16 when I went back to fix the roof, but the house is now under repair. I'll be back after Q20/21 are resolved and I can fly to the stars.

You're very welcome. These are surprisingly hard quests. I am still looking for 1 more AGI boost to access a secret cave in the warehouse and that's the kind of thing I make notes in that great notepad Indi included in the game.

What buff did you use? I apparently never found the right one and I look virtually everywhere. Someone mentioned a Mind Buff.

Does anyone know where I need to search again for the tools. There are 2 secret rooms I haven't been able to access yet and I am wondering if the tools are in one of them. Has anyone found the tools?
