4 difficulty modes

Forever Heroes will have the usual 3 easy-normal-hard as well as maniac for people like Tomas, Darkange and anyone who likes to suffer (or show the brilliance of their inventory and strategy against the limits of the game).
There is so much to find in FH that I believe maniac mode is justified. 8)

Well well well FH doesn't have underwater sequences planned (although it has a boat moment).
But it's totally planned for LS, so I'll be thinking about you, when the time comes, mwahahaha. +::wizard +::grrr +::biggrin

and I hope you have seen "How I met your mother" tv show .... accepted

Just a few excerpts so I'm missing out on the reference lol

Great ... there was a character on How I met your mother that whenever somebody said he shouldn't do something or he cannot do that cause it is impossible ... his first reaction was always " challenge accepted " ... recently I even saw this on a game : a guard is staying in front of a door and says : " you guys better not open this door - powerful monsters are behind this and the door exists for a reason " .... the main protagonist answer : " challenge accepted " +::biggrin

By the way you can all just call me dark angel at this point cause my original name was supposed to include the letter "L" but for some reason it only allowed me 8 characters at that time so it came darkange instead of darkangel +::cry

I'm conceiving challenges where you might regret that (in maniac mode, at least).

Just tried to give you an L, but the database told me the name was already in use... +::cry +::surrender

what is "manic mode"? like what's the difference in difficulties? i remember LP1 being xp gain, and i think the enemies had more health and were smarter in combat. i love the difficulty, but the extra grinding is the only thing that turns me off.

Generally speaking, "maniac" or any of the hardest modes just give more power to the enemy side.
But to overcome it, it's not necessary to grind. It's rather a way for the best players to use their hard-found items and best strategies in a way that the enemy side still represents a challenge.
I know it often happens to me (game maker privilege lol) that the normal mode becomes wayyyy too easy.

Expert players say NO to grinding +::stop ... What Indi mentioned is true .... I never grinded to own games at the hardest difficulty - that's what made it interesting for me - to win without speding time leveling up relentlessly .
I still like to do every side quest and explore every corner in a game - but I don't consider that grinding.

As the dev, I often find myself overpowered, but that's also not because of grinding, just the extra privilege of knowing all the good places... so there goes, this is how hard modes get justified. +::biggrin

For me, even Story mode is still quite a challenge. + So I hope I will be able to cope with "Easy" mode.
