I have finished the game just now. As in, I have included everything I wanted to included (except maybe one thing, read below).
However I want to conduct a final series of tests to make sure the game runs smoothly (especially the final part which has a lot of things going on). I also need to prepare a good guide.
So realistically, I need one more week. During this week, I will also try to include a new nifty feature which isn't in as I type: new game +.
Basically by completing the game, you'll be able to replay it starting with any character you want.

I'm sorry for this small extra delay but I think it's better to give the game a final run and try to polish things/iron out bugs rather than rush the release, even if that means missing the date.
Another important matter: I should be away from internet during the 11-20th of september period. That makes it difficult to release the game just before I leave. If bugs are reported, I'd have trouble fixing them in a timely fashion (like I always try to do).
For that reason, I prefer to set the release date to September 21st. It's a beautiful date: on this day 11 years ago, Millennium was released. It went to become one of my most popular games ever. I'd be fulfilled if Forever Heroes went to have a similar career.

PS: the game has 54 sidequests, 78 secret rooms and is about 60 hours long (maybe more??).

OK ... fair enough ... Why 78 and not 80 SRs ? +::biggrin

One question that popped into my head about this : when we find the secret rooms ... do we find them numbered in order in games like " a tale of a common man" or a timeless intervention .... or we find them scattered like how it was in Opaline .

For example : if we find SR2 ... the next one will be SR3 ? Or there is a chance that we find SR4 and SR5 first and we find SR3 waaay later ? I much prefer them in order so it's easier to know when I lost a secret room and go back on a previous save or something like that.

Of cours, I am a little desappointed because you do such gems games, but I think you are right: better polish it and making it as good as Millennium! I will continue with LF1 during this time. No problem for me. Thank you and good luck!!! :)

It's the count right now. Might add some aha

They are all numbered.
But if you miss secret room 2, when you find secret room 3, it will be called "secret room 3" not "secret room 2".
They all keep their "identity number".

For example : if we find SR2 ... the next one will be SR3 ? Or there is a chance that we find SR4 and SR5 first and we find SR3 waaay later ?

Yes this is possible. See above.

Thank you very much! My goal is to have everything ready, packaged and co. by next sunday. Then I'll see what's the best course of action but probably sept. 21st, realistically.

Very disappointing to read that the release date is not for another 3 weeks. But of course, great games do take a great length of time. And I am sure I will find something else I can play in the meantime.

And whatever the reason that you are offline between 11-20 September, Indy, have a great time or all the best or good luck, whichever fits. :)

I wish it'd be just 1 week delay too... real life sometimes get a bit in the way.

I'll advertise something soon but it'll be just a small game.
FH is indeed my biggest game in a LONG time, one last effort for me, final line lol

A great time, hopefully. If covid doesn't prevent it from happening... <__<
Anyway, thank you! +::heart

The weather is gorgeous right now and it's much healthier to be outside, so maybe it's better for all of us to wait a few weeks before we hunker down with an epic Indy game. :) Still, I'm excited that the realistic release date is not so far away. +::Dance

@NYX
I could not have said it better except maybe an additional +::cry emoticon.

So, Indi, I hope you enjoy your escape from civilization. For me, that is backpacking. While I am sure we would survive your absence by helping each other. When you get people like me "breaking" stuff by exploring somewhere no tester has ever tread, you have to be there to fix we stoopid folks.

Can't wait for your return. I have set my Christmas countdown clock for the 21st. +::Dance
