Problem with installing the game

When I downloaded it from the email link I asked it to be saved to the desktop. The game is all in bits all over my desktop and I was never asked for a Product ID or Password. The game works, from the .exe file but I worry that it might be a demo as I wasn't asked for the codes. The Strategy Guide downloaded without asking for the codes too.
