I'm really disappointed in the time taken for making new laxius series nor a teaser is posted, nor there are any updates nor are there any hopes.. . I (being one of the most loyal player laxius series... I really love the series and I have finally given up the hopes of ever seeing a teaser) leave alone playing the game Or watching the trailer.... I'm very upset and tired of waiting since 8 years for the slightest bit of hope for new Laxius S and just being waiting, waiting and waiting forever.. Keeping a hope and checking http://www.aldorlea.org/ 4 times a day (everyday) since 8 years and still keeping hopes... I'm honestly tired and fed up... ( I have played all the games present on aldorlea website)

All I see is upcoming games - Laxius S
And Legend but never saw any teaser, trailer, release date, demo regarding it.... +::cry

Hello, I'm glad to hear you played the other games, because some like Witch Hunt, while not being exactly as sprawling as Laxius, definitely deserve the attention IMO.
I made the Laxius Force trilogy using a great software that was called RPG Maker XP.
Unfortunately after this one, the company behind the RPG Maker series made several new entries which were quite underwhelming visually speaking (ie in terms of resources and assets). I'm a storyteller and a game designer, I love adding content, interactivity, secrets etc. (which all defined my gaming "signature") but a resource maker I'm not, so I need to find these.
That has been the main reason for me delaying the 3rd trilogy. IMO the visuals I'm provided with in the RPG Maker installments that came after XP do not really fit the atmosphere of Laxius. +::cry

For instance chibi sprites, square looks for forests and mountains etc
I need A LOT of resources to make a new Laxius so finding good ones here and there is not so much the solution either.
So in the meantime I made other games. I'm trying to make a new epic game for 2020, as "promised" to this community, and after it's out (around June I hope) then I'll give another thought to making/starting the third trilogy.
I'm taking any feedback very seriously. Would you be okay with chibi looks? Small sprites (ie not like the ones of the LF trilogy)? What kind of visuals would you enjoy for it? LF and Millennium style (IMO the best visuals I've made in my collection)? Or something different like Opaline if you remember that game?

Merry Chrismas to you and its good to recieve a reply from you as a christmas gift, i have read thoroughly what you wrote and i'm sure u will develop an amazing laxius series (although it sucks and its bugging to wait that much), i just want to live longer enough to play that game even if i die the next day i wouldnt mind because i have played the Laxius S____ series,as i said i have played all the games on aldorlea.org i'm the most loyal fan/gamer of aldorlea and i will wait to play each and every game you launch

and i had a request from you - if possible please do try to increase the time span of your games ( 9.99) dollars for 4 hours is too much.... i dont mind the cost of the game but if u think as a game player then u will feel that we need longer and engaging games ( your games are very very engaging and immersive) but please do make them longer, it sucks when we are fully immersed into the game and the final ending comes and i'm like ahh man i wish this game never ends ..... some of the longer games were - The Book Of Legends, Laxius Series,Assgaurd. please do make them longer,also laxius power was a MASTERPIECE from you and let me say i Just Loved It...!!!!

So it's a matter of resources... and I suppose you don't want to continue using XP because you want something new and fresh, yet the modern engines don't suit your needs. I agree that XP had a fantastic RTP, and it was weird how they made everything chibi and blocky after that. +::Annoyed

I make my own resources, but it is of course an enormous undertaking, and my style is very stark and cutesy to boot. Don't look at my first game as an example though, it was a loooong time ago. I've gotten a lot better since then. +::biggrin

In any case, I wish you luck, and thanks again for creating this wonderful community for us.

Totally. I have the characters and monsters art, I also have the plot. But tilesets remain a big issue because Laxius is a large game and since RMXP nobody has come up with an extensive set of beautiful tilesets for game makers to use.

All upcoming games should be larger. That's my goal, anyway.

I agree these are among my best games overall.
I always give my best in every story that I write but I also understand players of this community tend to prefer larger, more epic games.

A June release is more realistic at this point.
I think I'll start giving hints, teasers and co. around march-april as, hopefully, I get closer to a release.

It's honestly really as you said, the work you did - the storytelling, game design and gameplay that made Laxius force series epic.

After I finished it I played a ton of other RPGMaker XP games too, and while sure Laxius has nice sprites, I really never noticed the differences in sprites (aside from the large artwork stills that appear rarely). But did notice a huge difference (drop) in story and gameplay quality. Even after the shift to playing VX/Ace games, I didn't like the chibi sprites, but eh after 5 minutes i don't notice and focus on the gameplay anyways, so despite that it never prevented me from playing lots of the game made on it.

So yea imo, get it out regardless of your feelings about the drift in style. As long as you show the full art character introduces just once, we get the idea of the vision of the character. We're oldschool gamers, we understand the spritework/tileset are not the intended artistic vision. Easy enough to imagine the proper character intended with good dialogue alone (and the large sprites are fun, but really only need to be shown rarely)

And with MV's far higher resolution, those nice high rez art we see on your website can be better enjoyed in the game too.

Though even if you just jump to VX/Ace, or just make it on XP again, it can still be your best game yet.

in my opinion ... if you can make Laxius S to look and play in battles exactly like FoH or APID - that would be perfect and ideal - I like both the graphics and the faster gameplay style with new combat stats like magic evasion or TP bars - Laxius series never had that .

I'm in the process of collecting material (mostly tilesets) to try and make it happen. Still I need to finish other projects first, because they are quite advanced and I can't just drop them like this. But these projects will hopefully turn into good "epic" games and also help my learning curve, so this is beneficial for LS.

I agree especially with the first.
A bit paradoxally maybe, I might still release a game using these resources, but I want something else for Laxius, because Laxius is not and was never supposed to be "chibi". Some games are more fit for that bright glossy style than others, Laxius is not one of them, not how I envision it anyway. +::stop

The one thing that i really want to return in LS is something similar to the Slayer levels. The double leveling was great , but made it a little bit less grindy and more rewarding. I remember that Random , Zoo and Nash had good rewards for slayers, but many of the others was underwhelming.

is not seen anymore so high what it was ealier... anyway... older game... but... still awesome it own...

Yeah, Laxius Force was the bomb for its style but the important thing is the incredible story telling and sassyness of characters. Imo, it all works as a whole...so what if it's whatever builder you use as long as you're happy with creating it and
we as gamers adapt to new ways of playing. FOH was awesome and if that style is used for LS I'm up for it...although Millenium style is great too. What I really like about the newer games is the level of intensity increased if that makes any sense? Your story telling has become more sophisticated in some ways...it's almost like the ancient story tellers of old as they get older and mature in their style. they ascend. Personally, when LS is finished which I know it will be it will be even more epic than other games...because as I see it no one but Indinera makes epic games that age well and carries memories
to make us replay them over and over! I only say go with your heart on creating! Thanks for all the great work you do and letting us push you to create more.
