STORY:

Hi. I got an error message when trying to open game second time. First time characters came out of Inn and kept going back and forth for only 3 steps. This is on the demo. Error read: UncaughtTypeError:Cannot readproperty'battleSystem' of null

I can't believe I am already stuck. I can't get past the Ogre at the beginning of No Man's Land. Help!

Hi All! I have a question for all you tech minded people (unlike me). I've been playing the game for a few days now, and every 15-20 minutes, the game stops sending visual signal to the monitor. I can still hear sounds/music, but all I see is completely black screen. Nothing I do can change it, and I have to re-boot my pc every time. (Thanks be to Auto-save)

Anyone have any ideas? Is it something with me settings, Is the game just too much for the monitor? I'm able to stream movies, play other games (I just finished my second playthrough of Barry), and this doesn't happen.

That seems really... weird.
Have you kept the suggested installation path? I recommended to never change it but computers are extremely touchy.

I believe it's too early to challenge it.
As the game suggests in the convo between characters, you are meant to explore the world and look for allies. The Ogre fight shouldn't be attempted before that and generally speaking levels in the 20-30 (don't remember exactly).
Exit Drakospine, hop on the boat and visit the world (assuming you haven't done that already).

I've seen it on the other thread. Same answer, I find it a bit strange. I'd recommend playing Throne of Shadows and Throne of Glass and see if you get the same issue. They both were made in very similar ways (same engine to begin with).
Other games of mine that used the same engine are Vortex and Odessa if you want to compare with them as well.

I didn't change or touch anything, I'm not the type to attempt that. Should I delete and try again?

Does it happen every single time you reload?
If so, then yes, try downloading and installing again the demo. Make sure no parasite software (like Microsoft Defender) is trying to prevent you from doing that.

I need some help. I'm at the Bastion, and the game is not allowing me to swap out Zebulon for Caedris. In addition, every time I leave the Mountain area to return to the town, the game defaults to Alicia instead of another character. I made it to the Bastion once with no problems and was able to swap in Caedris, but when I went back to the town, I lost the ability to make the swap.

I finally have my new computer, and am able to play again. Like Quimby, I cannot get past the Ogre at No Man's Land. I have been travelling around the world, cleaning up some monsters I had missed. You mention allies - where do I find these? I am at the low 30s for level, recommendation for what level I should be at? Dunno if anyone checks out these old threads, but thought I'd take a chance.
