Bugs?

Hello,
I am playing this game right now and I'm almost finished with it. I did find some bugs that I think you should know.
For the skills and magic, if a character achieves their Ultima skills, they will suddenly get a copy of all their LV 1 abilities if those abilities are at levels 2-3. I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I believe it's worth checking out.
In the second Ernest quest, after you complete the Evil Office part, if you go back there again, Ernest will be there again. Talking to him again will add another towards the sidequest counter but I don't think that was supposed to happen.
I'm looking forward to the ending. Now I'm just training all my characters to achieve their Ultimas.

That's so strange, as I don't think I had this.

I'll check it out, thanks.

I'm still using Version 2, so this may have already been addressed.
Lexus' Punisher skill is still at Lv1, yet the counter reads
>>>48 (next: 20)
so I'm thinking it should now be Lv2.

I think I know why.

So, I'm replaying the game and found another bug in the Ernest/Evil Office area. After finishing Ernest's 2nd quest, if you go back to the Evil Office, he won't be there, but Lexus won't let you leave saying saying she won't leave him in her office. I guess there's a switch problem there?
Additionally, I think there is a problem with Quest 6, Suze's quest. The quest involves her bringing her four different ores and the recipe, but when I try to give her Mythrill, she won't accept it saying I already gave her one, even though I didn't. I got the Statement Sword, yet the quest is still counted as incomplete. Is there something wrong or is there something else I need to do?

I believe I've fixed both and this will be part of the upcoming upload. Thanks for the report!

I got this after defeating Razielle. I only could continue after getting out and reloading from the Autosave.

Also, I just entered the Evil Shrine and encounter Nightykes.
I think it was with Piper where there were three of those, but there was nothing but their health bars. I thought they were invisible or something, but since now they aren't, I wonder if that was normal.
(Both those things happened in the demo.)

Piper's Retribution spell count doesn't work for me. I've used it several times but the count is still at zero.

Not a bug. I had a similar issue with some spells. You literally have to "read the fine print". That spell says it gives extra damage for "paralyzed, tired, or lost" but that is also a requirement for gaining spell uses. It does require some serious strategy. So, any spell that has a similar bonus damage typically requires that enemy condition be met for the spell counter to increase.

Huh?
Well yes, it says "+ Quadruple damage if enemy is paralyzed". The "+" for me just indicates a bonus damage if that requirement is met. It doesn't say that this is also a requirement for the spell use to even be counted, also not in the fine print.
@ Indy - that should be explained somewhere. An innocent player like me (imagine a smiley with a halo here since there's none to insert) keeps using spells, thinking they can upgrade them, totally unaware of why they don't!

To be fair, this information is included in the Guide (both full and sample)-
MASTERING THE TECHNICS
Spells and skills (called Technics as a whole) improve if you use them.
There are 2 thresholds for most cases: 20 and 70 uses (respectively lv2 and 3), with
Piper's Resurrection being the only exception.
Some of these technics require conditions to get a +1 Use, and can't just mindlessly
be spammed to achieve mastery.
For instance if a skill requires the enemy to be poisoned to generate extra (massive)
damage, you will get a +1 only if said conditions are met.
Another example is if a skill require the skillcaster to have less than 50% of their total
HP to generate the maximum damage, it will not get a +1 if it's used with the
skillcaster having MORE than half of their HP.
On the other hand, some technics require no condition and get a +1 for each use.

Well, I never buy a guide and I usually don't download the sample either. I firmly believe that any game should be playable without a guide and all the required information should be provided within the game.
Something else that I noticed:
Luke's Bleeder skill says a sword is required. Skills of other characters are greyed out, but don't say that a certain kind of weapon is required, like Lexus's Rod of Justice. I assume it also depends on what weapon she's using, but it would be so much more convenient if it was just mentioned in the description like for Luke rather than having to go through trial and error.

It's because it's included in the name.
"rod" of justice can't be cast with a gun equipped.

Okay, so all skills other than Luke's Bleeder, that only work with a certain weapon, have that hint included in the name? That's good to know for future skills.

I think they can generally be used with anything, unless otherwise specified.
