Wow. took time off from working to finish. Again, WOW!!! I really loved this story line. So different from the norm and quite captivating. Original and different characters that piqued interest in how they interacted with each other. The evil characters were really evil in the true sense of greedy s.o.b.s like in real life! Most of all I liked the tie in with the environment. Oh, and that crazy music, I forgot where really fit in. I missed out on 1 mystery area and 3 relics so I'll definitely be playing again soon. This is a really good game. Engaging story, well polished gameplay, and plenty of places to explore and things to find. Finishing the game in nightmare mode and finding all the animals, mystery areas, relics, and (I think) all the skill bonuses took about 25 hours for me. (It may have taken a bit longer for me because my old laptop has big problems running this version of RPG Maker. It gets so hot, and then slow and slower and slooower and then crash, but eventually got through the whole game.)

I stayed away from this forum while playing, to avoid spoilers, but now I am quite surprised to see a discussion here of whether the player should explore inside people's houses or not??? In Odessa, instead of finding extra goodies by exploring inside houses, we get them by finding and talking to special animals. Hopefully the next game will have a different twist. I like it when developers change things around like that, it helps keep things fresh. When I consider buying a game, I look for interesting story, polished gameplay and maps, rewards for exploration, and reasonable price (under $1 per hour of my playing). Odessa did not disappoint me.
