Hi -- I finished everything according to the walkthrough in the swamp, including the circle. This was a separate paragraph and I ran across it in my travels during my first trip. Anyway, the walkthrough says to use Random's Egress, which I did, to get to the Lamias place again and it didn't take me there. Now I'm wandering around the swamp trying to find my way out. Help, please. Thanks. Gram

If you are mentioning 'Weather circle',it means that you have already went XEN once.Isn't it?
Back track the walkthrough and find the way (its in the south direction of the swamps).
you couldn't egress to civilization because you changed your save game spot (probably you must have saved at the start of the swamps,while exploring).
The default directions in any game......

N
W + E
S
N-north to the top of the screen
S-south to the bottom of the screen
E-east to the right of the screen
W-west to the left of the screen
