If anyone can help me - I need something to melt the big ice block that's in my way. When I go to the lava area (with the crazy rabbits), I can see a chest down below that I can't get to. I don't know if that is what I need, or if I've just really overlooked something. Thanks!

check the arm of lava (its left end) at the right of the big block of ice

Could anyone tell me where i can find the shovel, i feel like I've searched everywhere and still cant find it lol

first u must "activate" the quest by "talking" to the ice block and the left part of the arm of lava nearby.
next find a lonely guy in the snow and ask him the shovel.

Finally, my internet is back up. I cannot believe that I hadn't walked east again to that lava patch, with the BLUE arrow above it!!!! Good grief, how embarrassing. I did get the shovel without a hitch tho.

This man says that he wants you to return the shovel to him after you use it.

My question is, is there any way to actually return it to him? I went back to him to try and return it after removing the ice block to go South, but he just says the same thing over and over.

I don't think you can return it. I remember trying also and not being able to.
