... when starting 3 stars for the first time, can you tell me if it launched in full screen or windowed screen?
Thanks!

Full screen. If running the game in windowed mode and not clearing temp folders and files, game opens in windowed mode next time it's started. After clearing temp files the game always opens in full screen mode. <Alt>+<Enter> works successfully as a toggle. OS is Windows Vista Home Premium on a 2008 Compaq laptop.

This may have to do just with my computer solely (I have a 2007 HP model...and this poor baby has kinda been through some abuse! I have way too much crap on this machine haha) but 95% of the time, 3 Stars opens up in full screen.
Every so often though, it'll open up in windowed mode and there's usually a small load lag. Like I said this may have to do just with my machine though-- this happens regardless of whether I have other apps running or not. So much crap on my hard drive, some apps take a long time to load and I think if you double-click the startup screen it'll go into windowed mode too.

It's always opened in full screen unless I foul up!

Can toggle just fine for doing maps. Really happy with the game, just wish that work didn't interfere with my playing!!

I believe on my old computer, it opened windowed if I had other things running in the background, like Firefox, outlook, etc. But if nothing else was running, it opened full screen. When I install it on my new computer I will let you know what happens...

I am running Windows XP, and it starts up in full screen everytime.
Isn't there a setting in the F1 menu for this? I can't recall...
Why do you need to know this Indy? Just curious...

i'll echo what other players have said -- if i had another file open, the game would open in window mode, which was helpful and i thought an ingenious touch. for example, at one point (witch woods) i simply had to play with a walkthrough at hand -- i had wandered for over an hour looking for the mansion and needed to use the maps, which i had stored in my documents file. with the game in windowed mode i could access the maps without exiting the game -- very useful. i think the setup you have right now is fine -- it should open primarily in fullscreen, but switch to windowed when you're accessing another file. (second time through -- i actually gave up once in the malufus mazes -- i got through witchwoods in one go.)
just finished the game and am now going to try and complete unfinished quests. one early question: in the colyseum, can random heal up between rounds? or does he have to go through all challengers without ever being able to restore himself -- that seems awfully tough. also i won three early bouts and went to the guy for my reward, and he tells me i haven't won a single round. what's up?

Usually it opens in full-screen mode. Very rarely if I'm doing something else at the same time while starting the game and the computer is active with something else, it might open windowed.
Oops, just noticed what an old post that was. Didn't mean to resurrect this, sorry!
