Stuck in Tyrine Sewers

I can't beat the first boss in Tyrine Sewers. (The one that begs you to fight him.) I'd level, but you get hardly any EXP for this point in the game. Any advice? I really want to continue through this game. ^__^

PS: Random, Lv16. Sarah, Lv.16. Cocka-Cocka, Lv.13. Brussian, Lv.13.

If I remember correctly he is weak to shock spells like Random's Gates of Thunder or Sarah's Emerald Laser. I think it was Sarah's spell.

Yeah i'm stuck in the sewers too. Only it's the second boss, that guy who has been transformed into a demon. I have tried probably 20 times over and lost everytime and it's all because of plague. I've gone looking around in town for something to cure it but no one sells anything for it. Right now it's totally 100% impossible for me to progress which is a real shame because the story looks very interesting and i'd love to continue it. So any help would be apreciated

What level are you? Sarah gets the Mass Enchantment spell at level 24 and it cures plague.

I'm stuck at the same boss too, and I can tell you that unless there's an area accessible with much higher amounts of EXP gain, that I could level up only 2 more levels at best. And I've never ran away from a fight since you don't have that option in this game, and I usually run straight for the enemies, and I've even done several sidequests, so I must have been doing something right.

Now apparently, Random eventually gains a skill called Spartan, and another character gets a skill called Oni, and these skills would supposedly greatly help against the boss. At what level would these skills be achieved? And is there a nearby area with good EXP gain? How about that map you gain in the inn which takes you to that area with the bats?

EDIT: So I trained at the Razor Spine, beat the dragon there, learned Spartian Move from the soldier that appears after you donate 1000 gold at the Town Hall, and was able to beat the boss. It turns out that the combination of Metallist Curse and Spartian Move is a real doozy for that particular enemy. ^__^

I was a much higher level when I got to Tyrine because I leveled up until I had enough money to buy all of the items that are helpful (not mandatory) in future quests. Plus I wanted the items that you can get from the wraiths and vampires.
