After doing my replay of LFI by the walkthrough at the very end it says "Go to Gian's Relics with only Random and Wendie in your party." I did that but he doesn't offer to buy her. Can this be done in LFII? I recall a moment without Luci in beginning of Chap. 7? So can it be done then?

Yes, that quest is explained a bit wrong in the walkthrough.
Iirc at that point, when you've first talked to him, Demetrio is just glancing at Wendie.
So yes, you can do that quest after LFI.

This comes up often enough that I would almost bet Indy changed how this quest worked in a later update to the game. It worked as advertised when the walkthrough first came out at any rate.

But yeah, you can start the quest up in LF2, preferably earlier than later in case there is a time window on it.

I did that quest on Laxius Force 3. Dunno if the quest could be completed on LF2.

Yeah, I also wasn't sure if I did it in LFII or LFIII, that's why I said you can do it "after LFI".
