,and I chose Shiva because I'm more str than spd(bigger attack power,finishing powerful monster faster etc,but that's just me +::biggrin

The ghost with the boat can take you to 2 secret areas(I found)but i tried a lot and nothing +::tired

Here are all characters:

Marine:
Shiva: HP110% STR130% RES120% Random Hit before each fight!
Wild Goose: HP130% SPD150% gain Counter Hits!
Spirited Soul: SP140% RS120% MN160%

Benoit:
Hand Master: STR120% RES120% ATK120%

Karine:
Baroness: HP140% STR120% RES120% MND110%, Seal of the Oak
Bounty Hunter: HP120% STR130%

Hirado:
Holy Vicar: SP140% RES110% MND130%
Body Master: HP140% RES110% ATK105%

Great. But there are side-quests and animal kings after ancient temple too. After Hirado points out a cave after you finish ancient temple, don't go there. That ends the game.
