I can't seem to figure out how to get Jezabel to join my party. I have talked to everyone in the village, read the sign in the Inn, talked to the Veggie Mustache guy, who still hasn't give me the quest, and can't figure out how to get her to join me. I also am frustrated with the Toad Swamp in that I can't seem to get past the first couple of screens. I hear talk about a boatman but have yet to see him. Any help would be appreciated.

You can't get Jezabel to join your party until you have Abu, who is the boat man in the swamp. Have you looked at the maps for the swamp? You can find them here viewtopic.php?f=95&t=2711#p36369

From the entrance you need to keep going north. Set your screen contrast brigther if the swamp is too dark. Pay close attention to where you can jump.

I have the maps for the swamp and still can't figure out how to go north. You go right a couple of screens from the beginning, and then there is a locked chest. Above that chest is, at least on the map, a sort of rune like thing. When I get to that spot it is simply one of the diamond shaped things with what looks like a candle in the middle. (These are all over the swamps but I don't know what they are called.) I just can't figure out how to go northwards. I will go back and see if I can figure out where I keep going wrong. Am I correct in assuming you go entrance, right, right and then up? I really hate these swamps! The paths are so hard to see -- but I guess we don't want it to be too easy, do we?

The screen with that locked chest is a dead end. You should have followed the green arrows (if you haven't got Abu yet) and entered another screen by using the northwest exit at the first screen.

However, if no green arrows appear in the swamp and you don't have Abu in the party, then you probably haven't reached this stage of the game yet. Use Skills-->Marine-->Talk to ask for what you have to do first.

What green arrows? I am really confused now. Marine just says that a cloaked man told her her mother had gone into Toad Swamp and never came back and that she needs to go to this place. Did I miss something in Everlasting Autumn? Or what? I appreciate your help, by the way.

If you can't see this in the current map area, you are probably in an area not related to the current main quest (for most of the time).

Then I believe your destination is indeed the swamp but just haven't followed the main route.

Well, green arrows or no, I think I am on the right path now. I found the way up a few screens so hopefully I will be able to get through. Thanks for the help. Sometimes a little nudge in the right direction is all it takes to make a breakthrough. Happy New Year.

I've never seen any green arrows like that either! Just the occasional blue ones for hard to see exits.

But yes, you need to go north from the first map of the swamp you get to - don't go to the two eastern maps as they are a dead end. Hope you'll find your way around! Happy New Year!

I think you only see the green arrows in Very Easy Mode.

Yep. And it was a tremendous help throughout the game +::Thumbup

I would have been stuck roaming around till the cows came home and been frustrated at the same time +:oops:

All the help maps and questions appeared after I breezed through it the first time (without completing half of the quests and missing 1 animal king and some real goodies). So hats off for the help in VERY EASY MODE (which is what I ALWAYS BEGIN with) +::clap
