I've played through twice (on easy) but each time I fight Gigantine no one gets the pox leaving me unable to complete the ill girl quest.
Any ideas please?

a special attack of gigantine does it, but do you kill her so fast that it never happens?

The second time I played I was only low 30's level and was taken by surprise. The battle went on for ever, well thats what it felt like cause I was only doing minimum damage each hit..so she had plenty of time to attack me. maybe its the mozzie repellant I'm wearing The ads say its good, didn't think it would be THAT effective

Also double checked to make sure I wasn't wearing anything that would protect me.

I noticed that Gigantine inflicts pox towards the end of the Battle..at least during the second half of it..Maybe when she starts getting really tired..i got my Marine poxed after a long time of fighting..and the question is if someone else gets poxed ( besides Marine) will it be possible for the quest to get completed?

sometimes you must wait a little for Milady to deign poxing you

Double check to be sure you aren't wearing any "anti-pox" equipment. She seems to
pox me without any problem. But then I may be more Poxable than the average person!!
HEHEHE Also, when you use "cure" with Jeanne, it may take the pox off! I didn't use
it that much because they just got reinfected, and I was using her for attacks and
status effect boosts mainly!!

the Guru can cure it

Also, when you stay at an inn, you get cured!! Be sure not to go by there
before visiting the Guru!

No one else got poxed...and I made sure we all took off any equipment that may prevent it. I'll just have to play it again (what a shame LOL)

What equipment prevents POX?? I don't have any that does to my knowledge. Ok what am I missing??

For what it's worth - I didn't find any!

I tend to remove from my memory the content of past games in order to focus on the new one.

It doesn't have to be Marine that gets poxed. I played the second time and Abu go poxed instead of Marine and I still got the cure from the guy.

I don't know of any equipment that prevents it.
