Does this mean that a chracter that is twice as fast as another character can play twice as many actions?

Valdy wrote:Tomas, I don't think you have any command over your characters as to who goes first. At least the games I have played with this type of battle, I was never able to choose who goes first and second and third... If that is what you meant.

In Laxius Force, it works like this:
slow < fast < slow with pre-emptive < fast with pre-emptive
Plus there is an element of randomness - up to a point. I.e. a character with speed 90 can play before a character with speed 100 (but the 100 speed will play first more often), but 90 will never play before 200. (These are just examples, I do not know the exact numbers).
So you do not have a direct influence on the order of actions. But you can change it with the gear, and you can play around it. For example, Random is not particularly fast, but can have many pre-emptive weapons. But these weapons only apply for a normal attack, not for the spells. So when fighting hornets, his attack can kill one hornet before the hornet can do any damage. But if you let Random to cast a spell, all hornets will attack before this spell.

That's the overall idea but maybe not as linear as this.

In Laxius Force, it works like this:
slow < fast < slow with pre-emptive < fast with pre-emptive

All correct! +::Thumbup

True.
FoHe plays differently, but I think that's a fresh take on the battle system. I have good reasons to think (or hope at least) you'll like it.

in latest games I played ... the character with the biggest agility always went first - except when a slow character had preemptive ... and that's why I always arranged my characters from party menu in the order of the agility - I always liked to put characters in order from fast to slow so I instantly know when they attack .

Since you said in FH it's going to be different either way ... we will just have to see.

Thanks very much for the info, Tomas. Well, I will just have to wait and see how the battles go. :)

I also wanted to add that I'm happy to pay more for a larger game that lasts for many hours and has good replay value. Always quality rather than quantity!

You probably should change the ETA: May 2020 next to Forever heroes to ETA : unknown or when it's done ... for the newcomers to not get confused +::biggrin

You're correct (sorry for delayed answer I was in vacations).
But that's explainable because the game got much bigger.
Started as a 10-15 sidequests + 20 secret rooms combo, and now is at 50 sidequests and 60 secret rooms. :)
August is my historical month (hint hint).

I realized it would be funny if somebody introduced in his game the ideea that corona is such a big virus that even heroes are scared of it - lol .

I just saw a clip on youtube from the famous game DOTA - a multiplayer game where you play 5v5 .... in very rare cases only one player from the team can kill the entire other team - basically 1v5 his way through it - and they call it a rampage. In one clip there was a guy who killed everybody on the other team and then we see his name on the screen : CORONA VIRUS made a RAMPAGE +::biggrin
