need to get to statue

i am at the point in the crypt where if you start to leave baretta says you promised to help her. where do i go from here to find the statue so i can find the line and fight the monster. i have wondered all over all the levels but cn't find the point where i oeiginlly came in (gate locked behind me) please help. have been on this thing all dy and no progress.

If I remember correctly, from the entrance to the main area of the crypt:

Go right and up and you should be able to see it. There's a crack in one of the light tiles to the left of the statue. stand on it and press up to reach the final section of the crypt.

isnt the main entrance to the crypt where the doors closed behind you and the little guy is standing? i'm confused. is the exit whre you leave and baretta says you promised to help me the end of the crypt? if it is i need a thing like go left, go up, go down, go right so i can get to the main entrance of the crypt. plese help me forum members
