The Prophecy Lies

Thank you for the support, everyone! +::Dance "The Prophecy Lies!" full edition has been updated on BMTMicro, fixing the Wanted Criminals Card. If you want the latest version, please uninstall the current one and redownload the setup file from the link in the e-mail you received after purchasing the game from BMTMicro. +::music
The game's demo has been updated, too. If you do not want the Wanted Criminals Card to work, you may skip this update. (this card contains the same information as the wanted posts in the starting area, so you do not really need to use this item)

Furthermore, encryption was put in effect in the files of the game for... obvious reasons.

@poshpaws : The Krino Flower quest is supposed to be completed later; you will understand what you need to do, after *something* helps you in the Ancient Fire Temple. In general, if you feel that some quests are a chore or difficult to do, leave them for later!

You won't get the flower until later in the game when your group acquires a new skill.

I have really enjoyed this game! I already played to the ending but went back for a few unfinished quests. So glad I did! Now all I need is 1 Jilly Bean and Secret Cave #8. In all my running through all the ruins, caves, etc. I did notice a few hiccups.

1) In the cave north of Acquanara village, you cannot re-enter the passage where the statue disappears.
2) Vertaxo Ruins - upon re-entering the metal door that is unlocked via switches you cannot leave the area.
3) In Morningsted I paid $1,000 for a God statue but it never appears in my basement.

I'm looking forward to playing through again! Thanks for the great games!

Thank you txpeach for your comment! Just so you know, secret room #8 is in a hidden dungeon; you need to read some information about a certain forest, in order for it to appear.

About the hiccups:
1) I had no idea that you can not reenter the hidden passage in the water temple. I will fix it in the near future.
2) It was supposed to "trap" you there. Didn't a dialog trigger? I will look into it.
3) Did all the three statues appear after you purchase them? That sounds like a coding error on my part.

Did you go back to the entry cave behind Telluspagos? There are a few jilly beans there. Did you find all the chests and corresponding keys? I restarted the game as well to mark/find any Air 'IV' and Air 'V' pads. I still haven't found Secret Cave #8. I think it has something to do with finding a lost rune. A book in the Decayed Den reads "It is said that there is an ancient rune that reveals you sealed, with magic, passages in Panom'Arah. This rune was given to the Monastery as a gift, when the first Mother, Marianna of Fire, was elected." My guess is this lost rune is somehow connected to finding that secret forest. I'm just about to enter the Vertaxo Ancient Ruins and I'm hoping (fingers crossed) that I'll see something this time that I missed last time.

Oh hey... I just bought land !!! (I loved that part in "The Deal", where I had my own camp).
That and the Story mode makes this a perfect game for me. I have played other games that offer story mode, but always found that the enemies in battles were still quite strong. I love these games for the quests and such, not the battles, so I am really pleased that in this game they are easy. :)

Seems a great feature indeed!

I have played other games that offer story mode

For my next game I need a Story Mode - Vald's Edition.

LOL YES YES YES !! I enjoy these games far more if they don't have difficult battles and/or where I don't stumble over an enemy every few steps I take. :)

You never stumble over an enemy every few steps in my games, unless by "few" you mean 40-50. lol
On the other hand I do reckon that story mode from me is probably still harder than story mode for others, hence my comment about the Vald's Edition. +::biggrin

I think that both Indy's and Orfeas' games are really well balanced as far as random encounters. Sometimes you want those random encounters for either leveling or gaining healing items. I will say that Indy's bosses are much harder to defeat. Sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes not. ;) Some games, and The Prophecy Lies does, have an item which, when equipped, will cut down on random battles and that can be beneficial. Still, the story mode is only as good as the story itself and Indy (epic novels) and Orfeas (novellas) have the best!!! Both in terms of character and plot development and that's what makes them so much fun to play. +::biggrin

No Indi, in this instance I didn't mean your games when I said I stumble over one enemy after another. But I have bought games from other devs where I couldn't turn left or right and take 2 steps before I was confronted by yet another enemy. That is just too tiresome for me. I need to be able to move around without being constantly confronted by enemies.

txpeach, I bought all 3 statues, and all three are in my basement. They are at the top right side.

Orfeas, what a great game. I love the many quests I get. That's what I am looking for in a game. And thanks for adding the hidden rooms. So far I have only missed room number 2.
