Trying to get Forever Heroes in time but as it's a big game, it needs a lot of polishing and repeat playing (from me).

Yes, Balnuunla was deep in the woods...but that doesn't mean we were deep in the woods. We only dealt with surface stuff.

Yeah it was actually a temple atop a hill.

I can see much more play in Indinera woods with all the underside stuff that Indinera will create. Since Brussian and his comrades destroyed the temple there, there must be a seedy side still hiding, right? I for one can't wait to see LS and the story line will be epic! And...and...and maybe a cure for Brussian (poor guy, loses his love Marion and still a werewolf, although were characters are still cool +::biggrin ) Even at my age although still a kid at heart awaiting patiently...

All I can say is that our heroes do get much deeper into the woods than in any previous Laxius incarnation.
This was always supposed to be THE Indinera sequence in their adventures.

FH will be out soon though!!! p.s. I remember randomfan lol must be getting old

Trying to get it on time for sure!
20 hours minimum of playtime so far, hope to get it to 30! (with actual quality content not padding).
This one has a fair bit of sidequests so far so of course sidequests add playtime even though fully optional.

@Indi
I cannot wait for what you are working on. But I would rather wait for a future classic game that I will be more than happy to replay every now and then, than have you just crank out something. IMHO, Take your time and do it great. I did see a mention of millipufs (sp?) and just wanted to say, I HATE MILLIPUFS!!!!!! +::stop But I also do not like or appreciate any real time events. We old people just don't give a rat's behind about speed.

How old? I started playing "Adventure" and similar text-based games on a PDP 11/10 equipped with an acoustic coupler. Later, I graduated to 4-color RBG games on my 8088 machine with dual floppies. So I do not like some of these "retro" pixilated graphics games being recently released since I never had a hand-held game unit.

For all fellow humans (and non-humans among us) I would suggest finding a series to replay. Like Millenium? It's gonna be awhile....
I am currently in the final stretch of LF2 after playing 3 Stars and LF1 in order. I have never had a better reason to grind than now (while waiting for a new release) and I HATE grinding. It has been fun revisiting the LF characters (all 100 of them) +::biggrin

[Stepping on my soap box]
I have a degree in Biology and just want to remind everyone about the H1N1 virus that appeared during WW1 (no, I didn't serve in that one  ). About 50,000 people died as a result of soldiers vectoring that avian virus around the world. We now have an annual flu shot for H1N1. The same will most likely happen with this COVID19 bug. The problem is how soon will assisted immunity be possible. In the meantime, keep your fingernails short and assume everyone has this flu virus. It must suck to have allergies right now. I thought I was going to die when I first encountered ragweed in the midwest U.S.

Everybody gets vaccinated once a year against H1N1 ? lol ... last time I was vaccinated against something was like almost 20 years ago - and I have been fine and healthy every year ...

I'm putting my heart and soul in this new one.
My goal is really to recreate a game worthy of the "past greats".

I did see a mention of millipufs (sp?) and just wanted to say, I HATE MILLIPUFS!!!!!! +::stop But I also do not like or appreciate any real time events. We old people just don't give a rat's behind about speed.

Can't say about Millipuves (spoiler!!).
No real time events planned, I can't stand them, and I'm not even old. Heck even when I was young I couldn't stand them.
I like "calm" RPGs. 8)

I started on Atari 2600. Altho it hardly had any RPG xD

Laxius Soul is a series (planned as such anyway).
Forever Heroes has the potential to be, depending on how it's received.

Yup, love LF. Good times. +::heart

I'll have to agree that it's better to wait for a true classic. (Bet you didn't think you'd hear that from me!) I'm so thrilled and proud of you, Indy, for returning to such a challenging feat! I'm replaying all of your games during the pandemic, and can't think of a better way to spend my time! Now I'm doing MM, which by the way, is my favorite of your series, beating LF by a small fraction. Just beat the "Jinn's buttocks" and heading for MM2. +::clap +::YAY Keep up the great work, and lets hope that evil villain, COVID, isn't waiting around for the release!! Hey that's a good idea for a game...the evil plague COVID!! +::Dunno

Glad to hear! I'm taking up this challenge very seriously and earnestly.
LF and MM are really pretty neck and neck tbh.

Hey that's a good idea for a game...the evil plague COVID!!

Wouldn't be a bad idea tbh but I'm booked for the year. +::sos 8)

I'm sure it will be another level of laxius. You never tire of surprising me, Indinera. I've been a fan since the old days, and I'll look forward to the new era of Laxius coming. :)

The way stuff's disappearing in the stores, we may be eating Soylent Green pretty soon. Yikes! Hey, where's the old crowd? This would be a great time for a reunion. Anyone out there??????????????

Thank you.
Forever Heroes already has 20 hours of gameplay. Looking to pull this one off right and reasonably expecting 30 hours of gameplay, 50 secret rooms and 30 sidequests. Some of them will be tricky, word of the Trickster. 8)
